WAAG UK Vice-President delivers keynote lecture at Prophet of Mercy Mawlid event in London

WAAG UK Vice-President: ‘We must follow the prophetic message, by becoming a mercy to society’.

On Saturday 24th December 2016, a Mawlid conference was held in the city of London, at the Al-Karam Trust Mosque in Forest Gate. The conference was themed on the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) as a Mercy for all the worlds. Local, national and international guests attended the conference with a large congregation from the local Muslim community.

Guests in attendance included Bakhtyar Pirzada al-Azhari (Vice-President of the UK Branch of the World Association for Al-Azhar Graduates), Shaykh Sayyid Munawwar Hussain Shah (Ummah Channel TV, Blackburn, UK), Allama Nawaz Bashir Jalali (Pakistan), Qari Al-Haj Muhammad Aziz (Pakistan), Shaykh Sanaullah Sethi (London), Shaykh Zumar Saleh (Cyprus), Mufti Faiz Rasool (London), Imam Hafiz Abdul Rasool (London), Allama Ijaz Ahmed Nerwi (London), Hafiz Asad Ali (Sheffield), among others.

Keynote English lecture was delivered by the WAAG UK Vice-President, Bakhtyar Pirzada al-Azhari, who commented on understanding the concept of prophetic mercy, the universality of prophetic mercy, the power to change the world within prophetic mercy, and the outcome of prophetic mercy being the establishment of peace.

The event featured ziyarah of the blessed hair of the holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and the event was covered by Asian media channels with live broadcasts via social media.
