‘Have Muslims misunderstood Evolution?’ is to be held on Saturday 5 January 2012 at Logan Hall in London.
A unique conference has been organised by the Deen Institute to debate the topic of Evolution and Islam titled ‘Have Muslims misunderstood Evolution?’ which will be hosted by Myriam Francois-Cerrah bringing together individuals from different backgrounds to discuss and debate the topic. The event is to be held on Saturday 5 January 2013 at Logan Hall in Central London, from 10 am to 6 pm.
The UK Branch of the World Association for Al-Azhar Graduates (WAAG UK) has welcomed this conference with the Vice President, Bakhtyar H Pirzada al-azhari, saying, “WAAG UK appreciates this effort of the Deen Institute in organising a much needed public discourse on the subject of evolution and Islam. We welcome this conference and encourage people to participate and learn from this event. There is need for such contemporary issues and ideas to be examined through the prism of Islam and the pursuit of education, research and dialogue is the key to a clearer understanding of our faith in the modern context.”
