On Sunday, 2 February 2025, Mr Bakhtyar Pirzada al-Azhari, President of Al-Azhar Alumni UK, visited the headquarters of the World Organization for Al-Azhar Graduates, located at the esteemed Al-Azhar University complex in Cairo, Egypt. The meeting was honoured by the presence of Shaykh Professor Dr Abbas Shoman, Secretary-General of the Council of Senior Scholars of Al-Azhar and Chairman of the World Organization for Al-Azhar Graduates, who presided over the formal proceedings.
The visit underscored a shared commitment to advancing the mission of Al-Azhar in promoting moderation, intellectual engagement, and the service of humanity. The agenda included an in-depth discussion on strategic initiatives, ongoing projects, and collaborative efforts aimed at fostering academic and interfaith dialogue, as well as educational development for Al-Azhar alumni in the United Kingdom and beyond.
The distinguished heads of the global organisation present included Professor Dr Abdel Dayem Nusaer, Secretary-General of the World Organization for Al-Azhar Graduates, and Major Wael Mahmoud Bakhit, Vice-Chairman of the organisation. Key administrative figures also participated in the discussions, highlighting opportunities to strengthen international partnerships and amplify Al-Azhar’s mission of fostering peace, knowledge, and cross-cultural understanding.
The meeting concluded with a reaffirmed commitment to cooperation and the advancement of shared goals, fostering bridges of communication between Al-Azhar scholars and alumni worldwide. The engagement reflects the ongoing efforts of the organisation to provide a platform for intellectual growth and promote values that serve both individuals and communities on a global scale.
في يوم الأحد الموافق 2 فبراير 2025، قام الأستاذ بختيار بيرزاده الأزهري، رئيس فرع المنظمة العالمية لخريجي الأزهر ببريطانيا، بزيارة مقر المنظمة العالمية لخريجي الأزهر في القاهرة، مصر. وقد تشرف الإجتماع بحضور فضيلة الأستاذ الدكتور عباس شومان، الأمين العام لهيئة كبار العلماء بالأزهر ورئيس المنظمة العالمية لخريجي الأزهر، الذي ترأس الإجتماع.
أكدت الزيارة على الالتزام المشترك بتعزيز رسالة الأزهر في تعزيز الإعتدال والمشاركة الفكرية وخدمة الإنسانية. وحضر الإجتماع أعضاء المنظمة العالمية الكرام، ومن بينهم الأستاذ الدكتور عبد الدايم نصير، الأمين العام للمنظمة، واللواء وائل محمود بخيت، نائب رئيس المنظمة.
واختتم الإجتماع بالتأكيد على الإلتزام بالتعاون وتعزيز الأهداف المشتركة، وتعزيز جسور التواصل بين علماء الأزهر وخريجيه في جميع أنحاء العالم.
