Al-Azhar Alumni UK condemns the terrorist attack at Egypt’s historical site in Cairo

UK Branch of the World Organisation for Al-Azhar Graduates joins with its headquarters at Al-Azhar Al-Sharif in strong condemnation of the treacherous attack in Giza

Three Vietnamese tourists and a local Egyptian tour guide have been killed after a roadside bomb hit a bus near the Giza pyramids in Egypt. Eleven others were injured in the incident, the first affecting foreign tourists in Egypt in more than a year.

Al-Azhar Alumni UK, which is the UK Branch of the World Organisation for Al-Azhar Graduates, stands shoulder to shoulder with Al-Azhar Al-Sharif in firm and strong condemnation of this terror attack, affirming that tourists enter the country with a visa, which is a contract of security and wellbeing, and this is a legitimate contract binding on each Muslim and citizen of the country. It is stressed that the killing of those who are under a contract of security and agreement is something totally alien to Islam and not related to it from a near or a far. Those who breach such basic values and contracts of Islam and of humanity will have no share in the hereafter and will be subjected to great punishment and curse on the Day of Judgement, as mentioned in the prophetic traditions.

Al-Azhar Alumni UK stands with Al-Azhar Al-Sharif and the people of Egypt at this time, and thoughts and prayers go out to the victims of this cowardice, and this attack. Perpetrators are murderers and enemies of humanity. Al-Azhar Alumni UK extends its condolences to the families of the victims, prays for the speedy recovery of the wounded, and continues the call to prevent the whole world from fanning fanaticism, extremism and terrorism, and to protect the people of the world from all evil.
